The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It was launched in 1969. 

It offers scope to channelize the students’ potentials to serve the people of the nation. There are numerous community service activities & programs initiated and guided by the government of India through NSS. 

The sole aim of the NSS is to give practical learning experiences to students’ community in delivering service to society and becoming an efficient individual. BCTE established NSS in May 2024 and has one unit. 

The NSS Volunteer show interest in serving the needy, and play a vital role in all the activities conducted. The NSS unit of BCTE has taken numerous initiatives for sanitation and cleanliness, environmental protection, and various awareness programs on Aids, Voting, etc.
