BCTE is the first B. Ed. College started by the Salesians of Don Bosco in India with the Motto “Exemplo Docemus” (i.e., We teach by Example). BCTE has a systematic and structured framework for governance which is highly participative, consultative, and democratic. Decentralization is carried out by involving everyone and giving them a sense of responsibility and importance. The Principal appointed by the Governing Body leads and oversees the governance effectively. A functional IQAC established on 30th May 2022 which formulates the development plans and policies to enhance the goals of quality assurance and sustainability, which are reviewed and approved by the Governing Body. The quality policy of the institution is the guidelines for staff recruitment, students’ admission, grievance redressal, waste management, energy and water conservation, leave and welfare measures, e- Governance, etc.
Management oversees the conduct of both statutory and internal audits. The Principal makes decisions to create the working procedure and assigns faculty members to carry them out. He fosters a collaborative approach, maintaining coordination between academic and administrative staffs to work towards the institution’s vision and mission. Teachers are involved in decision-making processes. Likewise, students are also involved in conducting curricular and co-curricular activities. Thus, the college is ‘Home away from home’ for the faculty and students, where everyone holds responsibilities and enjoys privileges.
The representatives of the management, Principal, faculty, staff, students, distinguished personnel, and alumni are the members of various committees, cells, and clubs. Mentor teachers and their student bodies are engaged in different activities. Students receive good instruction and are trained through mentoring, parenting, guiding, and counselling. Students are divided into several groups via rotation and play lead roles in organizing various activities and extension programmes. BCTE maintains utmost transparency in its financial, academic, administrative, and other functions. A budget is prepared to cover ongoing operational and administrative expenses, equipment maintenance, and infrastructure.
Notifications about the various events of the college are displayed both in the college website and notice boards. Biometric attendance is mandatory for teaching, non-teaching staff, and students. Communication among students and teachers is kept active via email, Google Classroom, and other social media like WhatsApp. Financial transactions are kept transparent Payments are made by either cheques or through bank accounts. Scholarships are directly deposited in the students’ bank accounts. Employees’ salary is credited in their accounts. Beyond the college has an efficient staff appraisal system and teachers are encouraged to professional development. Transparency is maintained in the internal assessment of the students. The college has a grievance redressal system and offers remedial courses as required.

During the last five years, BCTE has set the above-mentioned strategic plans. To maintain the plan of action, IQAC monitors the implementation of all the activities to ensure the smooth and systematic functioning of the college. Among the activities set in the strategic plan, most of them have already been implemented successfully while some are still in the process.
