The Grievance Redressal Cell (GRC) at Bosco College of Teacher Education plays a vital role in addressing and resolving various grievances and concerns raised by students, faculty, staff, or other stakeholders. The cell is also empowered to handle matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the principal or committee members in person. Alternatively, grievances can be submitted in writing via the suggestion box or emailed to the office in-charge at grievancesbcte@gmail.com.
Objectives:
To address and resolve grievances raised by individuals or groups within the organization.
To encourage students to express their grievances and problems freely and frankly without fear.
To foster a culture of mutual respect and dignity among students.
To advise staff members to be kind and supportive towards students, avoiding any vindictive behavior.
To ensure fair treatment for all by providing a platform for voicing concerns.
To resolve conflicts through an impartial process.
Scope:
Academic Matters:
Issues related to class routine, issuance of duplicate certificates, mark-sheets, transfer certificates, etc.
Other Matters:
Concerns about sanitation conditions, canteen services, classroom environments, victimization by teachers or others.
Functions:
To receive grievances from students and address them promptly.
To conduct thorough investigations into each grievance to gather relevant information and understand the underlying issues.
To facilitate constructive dialogue and negotiation to reach mutually acceptable solutions when grievances involve conflicts between individuals or groups.
To report to the authorities about the cases attended to and any pending cases requiring further guidance from external sources.
To maintain all the required records concerning the cell.
Procedure for Lodging a Complaint:
Students can submit their grievances in writing and drop them in the designated box.
The grievance cell will act upon cases that have been forwarded with the necessary documents.

ANTI-RAGGING CELL
The Anti-Ragging Cell at Bosco College of Teacher Education, Dimapur, was established following the UGC guidelines under the Act of 1956, as modified by the UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions, 2009.
Vision:
The Anti-Ragging Cell envisions a campus free from harassment, fostering a culture of respect and safety for all students. It aims to implement proactive measures to prevent incidents and provide support to those affected, ensuring accountability and justice in addressing any violations.
Objectives:
To prohibit any conduct by students, whether spoken or written, that teases, treats, or handles a fresher or any other student with rudeness.
To raise awareness among students about the consequences of ragging.
To maintain constant vigilance to prevent the occurrence of ragging.
To address any ragging issues immediately and take action as advised by the committee.
To ensure all students complete an anti-ragging undertaking.
To hold Anti-Ragging Cell executive meetings twice a year.
Punishments for Those Found Guilty:
Warning and writing an apology letter.
Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
Withholding/withdrawing scholarships, fellowships, and other benefits.
Debarring from appearing in any tests, examinations, or other evaluation processes
Withholding results.
Debarring from representing the institution in any regional, national, or international meet, tournament, youth festival etc.,
Suspension/expulsion from the college.
Cancellation of admission.
Rustication from the institution for a period ranging from one to four semesters.
Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarment from admission to any other institution for a specified period.
