The three-day Annual Sports Meet of Bosco College of Teacher Education was successfully
held from February 11 to 13, 2026, marked by great enthusiasm, discipline, and exemplary
sportsmanship.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Fr. Elow Samuel, Director of Salesian
College of Higher Education. In his inaugural address, he underscored the vital role of sports
in the overall development of an individual and emphasized how participation in physical
activities fosters character, leadership, and resilience.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Ms. Sentisola, with the Scripture reading by Ms.
Livika and the invocation led by Miss Lucy. Fr. M. P. Thomas delivered the welcome
address, followed by the oath-taking ceremony led by Mr. Augustine, the Sports Secretary.
The programme also featured the presentation of theme songs by the four houses. Addressing
the gathering, the Principal, Dr. Fr. Jose Joseph, highlighted the importance of fair play,
unity, and ethical conduct in sports, encouraging students to uphold the spirit of healthy
competition. A comprehensive briefing on the events was presented by Ms. Arino.
After three days of keen competition across various individual and group events, Red House
emerged as the overall champion, while Blue House secured the runners-up position. Red
House also won the Mega Dance trophy, and Blue House emerged winners of the Theme
Song competition.
The closing ceremony was chaired by Dr. Lovely, who congratulated the organiser, Mr.
Imsumanen, and the Sports Coordinators, Ms. Arino and Ms. Athunglo, along with the
students and staff, for their dedicated efforts in ensuring the successful conduct of the Annual
Sports Meet 2026. Winners were felicitated with awards, marking a dignified conclusion to
the event.
