On 29th September 2025, the Fire Station Central Dimapur, under the leadership of S.I. Menose Zashumo, Officer-In-Charge, conducted a Fire Safety Awareness Program at Bosco College of Teacher Education.
A team of six dedicated members from the fire department educated the staff and students on the common causes of fire, preventive strategies, and the correct usage of various types of fire extinguishers. The session also included a valuable demonstration on first aid improvisation in wilderness settings, equipping participants with practical survival skills.
The highlight of the program was the hands-on experience provided to both staff and students, allowing them to actively engage with the equipment and procedures demonstrated. Dr. Fr. Jose Joseph expressed heartfelt gratitude to the fire department for their time and commitment. On behalf of the college, Inreusile, a 3rd semester student, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the team’s efforts in enhancing the safety awareness of the academic community.
