Workshop on National Apprenticeship Awareness programme was organized by Bosco College of Teacher Education on 11th March 2024 with the coordinators of Department of Skill, employment and entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland. Ms. Imtisenla Jamir, Ms. Akusa Rhetso and Mr. Bendangyapang Jamir were the resource persons for the programme. The workshop aimed at spreading awareness among the youth about skill development that bridges the unemployment issues in the country. National Apprenticeship Training Scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Government of India for skilling Indian youth in Trade disciplines. It offers various certification courses, a practical hands-on skill -based training opportunities with duration of six to thirty- six months. The scheme offers technically qualified youth with practical knowledge and skills required in their field of work so as to address any gaps in industry skill requirements and curriculum and this in effect promotes equitable employment opportunities.
