A paper bag making workshop was conducted at Bosco College of Teachers Education, Dimapur, Nagaland, on October 19, 2023 as part of Swachchta Pakhwada under the aegis of Special Campaign 3.0. The event took place at the college premises and involved the participation of B.Ed. 3rd-semester students. The workshop was organized in alignment with the theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution,” which was chosen for World Environment Day 2023. The primary objective of the workshop was to promote environmental awareness and the importance of sustainable practices.
Prior to the workshop, eight volunteers were selected to facilitate the activity, with four chosen from each section from the B.Ed. 3rd-semester students. These volunteers played a crucial role in guiding and instructing their peers throughout the paper bag making process. Their assistance was instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of the workshop.
To facilitate the paper bag making workshop, students were encouraged to bring newspapers that could be recycled into paper bags. Additionally, the college provided essential materials and tools required for the activity, including glue, scissors, and markers. This collaborative effort ensured that all students had the necessary resources at their disposal.
The workshop was both educational and inspirational for the participants. Students actively participated in the process of converting newspapers into paper bags, thereby gaining valuable hands-on experience.
