As part of Celebration of Swachchta Pakhwada Special Campaign 3.0, a Mass Awareness Rally was launched by Bosco College of Teacher Education Dimapur Nagaland on 5th October 2023.
The students of Bosco college of Teacher Education, Dimapur ,Nagaland (1st semester and 3rd semester) under the guidance of Mrs. Lucia Hans Dhan, Mr. Dipak Borah, Ms T. Leigise along with the other faculty members, organized a rally to spread awareness about keeping the surroundings clean in and around the vicinity of Kuda village ‘A’ Khel, Dimapur, starting from the college campus.
The rally aimed at eliminating open defecation, scientific management of solid wastes, and to promote cleanliness and hygiene. It is a continuing endeavor, and there are still many milestones to cross. Collectively, the aims of this mission can be fulfilled through active community participation. As responsible and concerned citizens of India, we must all come together and contribute towards the genuine cause of cleanliness. This mission has the potential to alter the face of India from being a developing country to being at par with the world’s most developed countries. Through this activity, a dynamic sense of maintaining a clean and green environment was initiated with great zeal and willingness. True to Gandhi’s quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”, we must all start with ourselves at an individual level and lead by example if we want to bring a change in the society. It all begins from one small act of participation and a conscious choice to do so.
