Bosco College of Teacher Education organized a workshop on Micro Teaching Skills and
Use of Teaching Aid in the Classroom by for the 4th semester students on 19th February
2026 at the Multipurpose Hall of the college. The session was conducted by Dr. Gomesh
Mosahary, Principal of Sazolie College of Teacher Education. The workshop focused on
enhancing teaching competencies through innovative ideas, improved methodologies, and
effective classroom practices. Dr. Mosahary emphasized that teachers are the backbone of the
education system, architects of society, and makers of mankind. He highlighted the
importance of teacher empowerment at the school level and stressed that a teacher must
uphold professional ethics, refined personality, dignity, and passion as an inspirer of young
minds.


The resource person elaborated on Micro Teaching Skills as an essential component of
teacher training. He encouraged the adoption of innovative teaching skills, including the
introduction of new ideas, new methods, and improvements to existing practices to make
teaching more effective and learner-centred.

The session also stressed on the effective blackboard usage, including neatness, proper size
and alignment of writing, highlighting keywords, providing a clear blackboard summary. He
shared about the importance of using teaching aids such as charts, pointers, globes, rocks,
leaves, flowers, and other relevant materials. Teaching aids help to supplement the speaker’s
words, make learning interesting and lively, ensure better retention, and support textbook
content.


The session concluded with an interactive discussion, leaving the participants motivated and
better equipped to become competent and ethical teachers.
