Report on Workshop on Craft Work

A workshop on craft work was organised by the NSS and IQAC cells to celebrate Small Industry Day on 30th August, 2024 at 10:40am at the college auditorium hall. The event aimed to highlight the significance of craft work in promoting creativity and skill development.

The workshop began with an introduction by Ma’am Arino Nakhro, who emphasised on the benefits of craft activities, which includes the enhancement of creativity, improving motor skills, self- expression and self- esteem as well as boosting cognitive skills and team work. Following this, the practical sessions were led by 5(five) 3rd semester student trainees, who taught various craft techniques to 1st semester students. Idale and Alvina led a session on crochet making, engaging 13 student teacher. Vimezono and Elemmongba instructed on creating beaded accessories, engaging 24 student teacher. Margaret taught paper flower making, engaging 39 student teacher. The remaining students explored crafting with paper waste.

The event also featured a dedicated photography session managed by Fr. Santosh and Sani Loli, who captured the activities throughout the day.

The workshop was a successful initiative in encouraging students to explore and develop their crafting skills, fostering a sense of creativity and innovation among them.
