The fresher’s day 2024 was organised by the 3rd semester and was celebrated on 5th September 2024 in Multipurpose hall at Bosco college of teacher education. The purpose of the event aim to formally welcome the new batch of students to the college, and emphasise the importance of hardwork, collaboration and consistency, foster a sense of belonging and facilitate a smooth transition into their new academic journey. The event was attended by the seniors, faculty members and the staffs.
Event Overview:
The event commenced at 10:00am, hosted by Ekonthung and Thejaneinuo Zhale. The program officially opened with an invocation prayer led by Sr. Margareth Baite asking for guidance, wisdom for the new students and also for a successful day. This was followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Miss Ipeudaile, highlighting the significance of the day and encouraging the fresher’s to embrace this new chapter of their academic journey. The welcome speech was complemented by a welcome song performed by the students of the 3rd semester. Following this, Dr. Fr. Jose Joseph Sabu, principal of BCTE, delivered an inspiring speech that not only welcomed the freshers but also motivated them to take full advantage of the academic and extracurricular opportunities that the institution offers. The first year students contributed to the program with a group song. The formal program ended with Fr M.P Thomas who gave an insightful and motivational speech.
Main Highlights:
The next highlight of the program was a presentation for teachers recognizing the vital role in shaping the academic and personal growth of the students.
The event then moved to the exciting introduction of Mr & Ms fresher, where fresher’s took the stage to introduced themselves. The first round saw a soulful performance by Pauzuteule, accompanied by a dance performance from 3rd semester sec-B.
The second round of Mr & Ms fresher introduction continued. Following this a beautiful duet was performed by Bele and Vimezono, subsequently an energetic dance routine by 3rd sem-A. With this was followed by a birthday cake cutting ceremony, a celebration for Fr. Joseph Sabu. A heartfelt vote of thanks was delivered by Miss Bensinle, a representative of the 3rd semester, expressing sincere gratitude to Fr Joseph Sabu Principal of BCTE, for his unwavering support throughout the planning of the event, a special thanks extended to the faculty members and warm appreciation was given to the 3rd semester for their dedication in organising the event and the junior for their enthusiastic participation. The program successfully ended with a benediction by Sr. Elizabeth followed with a delightful refreshment.
