On the occasion of ‘Nayi Chetna – 2.0’ the group discussion on “Gender Equality in India ” was organized by Bosco College of Teacher Education on 4th December, 2023 at the college campus that aimed to make teacher educators and prospective teachers aware of the challenges to gender equality and prospects to gender equality in different arena of life. Its objective is to promote awareness against gender-based violence. Nayi Chetna Abhiyaan aims to advance the rights of women and gender-diverse individuals, and promote a life free from fear and gender-based discrimination and violence. Nai Chetana, a gender campaign launched under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission in all states of India. The principal of the college Dr. Fr. Jose Joseph, inaugurated the program. N Margaret Baite and Imtimen, the students of the college emphasized gender equality as the need of the present time for the advancement of peaceful and just society to put forward their thoughts and ideas.
