An orientation programme was organized for the faculty of Bosco college of Teacher Education and Salesians College of Higher Education Dimapur on Monday 14th August 2023 at 9.30 a.m.The resource person for the programme was Dr. Fr. Jerry Thomas, Director, Bosco Institute Baghcheeng, Jorhat Assam.The Programme started with a welcome address by the principal of Bosco college of Teacher Education, Dr. Fr. Jose Joseph Sabu. The programme aimed to orient the teachers on the importance of making learning a joyful experience for the students speaking about the importance of love and care for nurturing students. Fr. Jerry stressed on the transformation of the caterpillars into butterflies just like the transformation requires the conducive environment. Each and every student in the class needs the right kind of the atmosphere to bloom. The capacity of the teachers lies in the ability to see uniqueness in each individual. Unfortunately over education system puts our students into strait jackets regimenting them and thus we try to erase the diversity of human nature. He said that every child /student is precious and we need to help our students to discover their potential, so that they can turn their life experiences into life giving actions.The programme ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Tiasenla Longkumer followed by a concluding speech by Fr. Panii Paul, the Principal of Salesians College of Higher Education
